So many of my classmates are excited for Valentine's Day. While I am still not quite sure as to the merits of the holiday, I think I might try participating. After asking some of my classmates, it seems that chocolate is an appropriate gift. However, the chocolates available at the local market did not seem suitable, so I have located a couple speciality stores and shall visit them after class tomorrow. Hopefully they are not sold out.

Finally, I have returned to my normal state. It was most unusual to spend the last couple days as a cat. I think I was a Turkish Angora. I was so quick and agile, but I almost ate a mouse!

Now to remove all the cat hair from my dorm. This might take a while.

Oh! I almost forgot! I made the chorus for musical. I might even have a few lines! I cannot wait for rehearsals to begin.

I did not perform well at the auditions on Thursday. But it was the first time I have ever auditioned for something, so I am sure the next time I pursue such an endeavour I will have improved. Nevertheless, I think I shall offer to help with the costuming. My sewing is beginning to improve and my embroidery is proficient.

Ice skating today was interesting. It has been many years since I last put blade to ice and to say I was considerably rust it putting it politely. I fear I am one large bruise as a result. Still, it was very enjoyable.

I am curious. Who is planning to audition for the spring musical? I have never been in such a production, but I have found myself in a mood to try new things lately.

Yay, I am finally back at school! Midwinter was wonderful, and I think Uncle and Master Niko liked the gifts I gave them. Uncle and I went riding each morning around the city. It makes me happy when everyone comes out of their shops to wave as he passes. He cannot always stop to speak with people, though I know he wishes he could. Uncle gave me a little money for Midwinter so I am going to go shopping tomorrow.

The weather in Summersea has been wonderful the last couple of days. It is a little warmer than usual, but that's okay. I am going to miss this a little when I go back to Boston, but I rather liked the snow last week. We are going to go visit Winding Circle Temple tomorrow, and then I will attempt to convince the cook to let me use the kitchen.

I am a little nervous about finals next week. I do hope I have studied enough. I have really enjoyed this semester of school. My classes have been quite fun. I am especially pleased with the number of recipes I have learned. Hopefully Uncle's cook will not be too upset when I ask to use her kitchen again. I shall have to remember to start packing Thursday, as I am leaving Saturday morning for Emelan.

I want to give Midwinter gifts to some of my classmates here. I do not have the time to weave something for each of them like I have Uncle and Master Niko, though perhaps they might like some of the embroidery and needlepoint I did last winter.

I have finished the scarf I was making Uncle for Midwinter. Now I shall work on one for Master Niko. A light silvery grey I think, to match that one set of robes he likes so much. I cannot wait to go visit Uncle at the end of the month. I am not sure if Master Niko will be anywhere nearby, but Uncle will know how to send him my gift.

Larsa, this James Bond individual was quite amazing. I cannot quite believe he survived all of that! I was on the edge of my seat almost the entire time. Why would he make such a dangerous movie? I hope they paid him well for the peril in which he put himself.

I think I shall recommend James Bond to my uncle. As much as he might try to deny it, it would be not inappropriate to hire a body guard if he were to travel outside Emelan. Though, he might be busy with another movie. But it would not hurt.

I have neglected my journal, my apologies. Classes have been going well, though I do no think I did very well on a couple quizzes I took yesterday. I have spent most of the day studying in an attempt to strengthen my understanding of the material, but I am not sure if I have succeeded yet.

I suppose I am still troubled by what occurred on Halloween. I know Mother, Father, and Pirsi would not want me to dwell on it still. I am whole and hale; I should not be bothered so by this. Larsa's presence has been most helpful though. I cannot help but feel uplifted when I converse with him.

I have been released from the medical wing. It will be nice to return to my classes. I hope I have not missed too much work. I kept up with my reading while recovering, but that does not compare to actually being in class.

I do not understand. I though I died. I am almost sure of it. The injuries I sustained were most certainly fatal. And yet I am sitting here taking breath. And that girl I saw... she was just two beds down from mine and was released just before I was. It is impossible to survive what happened to her. But somehow she did...

I am very relieved that everyone who was turned into a vampire has returned to normal. However, I do not know what to make of these... babies. This does not fit with what Pirisi told me about childbirth.

It is so chilly outside! Even after last winter I am still not used to cold weather at all. Luckily my scarf turned out rather well, if a little lumpy in spots. But it looks better than I had hoped, so I am pleased.

The water park was so much fun on Saturday. I will admit, I spent most of the time at the wave pool and lazy river. I am not a very strong swimmer yet, and thought I should not push my luck.

I am quite pleased with the progress my spinning and weaving have made. I have procured myself a small lap loom and have been practising much in my spare time. I think I shall attempt a scarf this weekend. The weather is becoming cooler and perhaps I shall improve enough I can weave something for Uncle for Midwinter.

Oh what a relief to be my proper height again. I would not have enjoyed remaining that size for any extended length of time. And I had no idea how much I appreciate having privacy when I sleep. It is certainly much quieter in my dorm than it was in the main hall this weekend.

I would like an explanation. Why is there the word "drunk" above my head in bright pink letters? I assure you I am no such thing. As to why the Delord Freres Armagnac 1958 my uncle gave me just before I returned to school is now water, I can only guess it is another mean spirited prank.

The loud noise early Monday morning was quite unpleasant and I do not understand why we all had to go outside in our nightthings. The interruption to my sleep was very rude.

I think I am going to invest in a loom. Lark says I am about ready for one now. I am not sure which one I want yet though. Both Ashford and Kromski make nice ones, but Kromski costs about $30 more. I suppose it depends how much I can save up.
